Hublot Releases the Singapore Big Bang Ferrari

Hublot Releases the Singapore Big Bang Ferrari

If a brand is the very essence of class and elegance, it takes a truly creative concept to use it with another product. When two such brands combine to launch a new product, that is branding power at the zenith of a marketer’s lifework. To make it an even greater achievement, add an exotic and dynamic nation to the mix. An exclusive (of course) event recently held at the Singapore Hotel marked the epochal introduction of the extremely limited edition of Hublot’s exquisite Big Bang Ferrari Singapore.

The setting of the evening was a meeting of the Private Ferrari Owner’s Club, which hosted the chairman of Hublot, Jean-Claude Biver. While the meeting was unannounced to the public, heads most certainly turned as over 100 private owners of Ferrari automobiles pulled up to the hotels valet staff. After the understated presentation of the stunning timepiece, Biver remained to mingle with the audience and enjoy their unanimous acclamation of the artistry and workmanship of his firm’s newest baby.

The designers of this latest in a long line of Hublot masterpieces must have experienced true artistic pleasure from their final product. The inspiration for many of the watch’s stylish details originates in elements of both Singapore’s essence and Ferrari’s tradition. The unique shade of red is that of Singapore’s natural color and the signature blush of the Ferrari. The accent is tastefully applied to various elements of the timepiece, including the hands and minute indexes. A buff deep black ceramic case accentuates the rich red coloring and houses a red sapphire crystal glass.

To be expected with a Hublot, the strap adds its touch. The rubber and Schedoni leather strap carries the theme to a tasteful conclusion. It is evident that the strap itself is the product of true craftsmen and boasts of intricate red stitching highlights.

The watch’s most miraculous design is, as always with Hublot, humbly hidden within. The Big Bang Ferrari Singapore claims the innovative UNICO movement that was imagined, designed and developed by Hublot. The modern marvel is constructed of more than 330 elements and positions the column wheel and dual horizontal coupling on the dial.

An announcement was made at the event that the Limited Edition aspect of the piece’s name was appropriate – only 50 will be made available, and those only through the Hour Glass’s unique pop-up store located in Paragon, Singapore. The Big Bang Ferrari is, of course, numbered and possesses a rendition of the famous Ferrari prancing horse on its case.

Those seeking to upgrade their collections with this treasure were required to wait until September 18. This date was selected to coincide with the greatly-anticipated 2013 Formula One Singtel Singapore Grand Prix.

Both Hublot and Ferrari are well-known names in the luxury market and by discriminating buyers. Both are distributed only through equally discriminating dealers, boutiques and retailers. Carlo Crocco launched Hublot in 1980 with the innovative fusion of materials utilized in the Big Bang Ferrari Singapore. What is now a Hublot signature began with the introduction of a minimalist polished and brushed porthole gold watch held by a natural rubber strap. The success of this product was followed by an equally innovative dive watch and continued with the rubber strap accent. Hublot followers quickly became fans, and the company’s rapid growth as an international brand has seen the introduction of four lines of watches, the latest being the MP that showcases some memorable complications.
