Miley With Black Spinel, Black Diamond and Green Garnet Bracelet
Lorraine Schwartz is a watch and jewelry fashionista with a big heart. The designer of high-end jewelry is a board member for Gabrielle’s Angels Foundation. This foundation raises funds for research in the quest to cure cancer. The foundation was started in 1996 by Denise Rich, a songwriter, whose beautiful daughter and actress Gabrielle died of leukemia at age 27.
Lorraine recently took her team to spend the day at Children’s National Hospital in Washington DC… They worked with several children who got to design jewelry for themselves and for one of their favorite music stars to showcase by wearing to the Grammy Awards. These musicians are said to have been inspirational to them during treatment.
Miley Cyrus wore a bold black diamond and green garnet bracelet designed by Sammi in honor of his sister who lost her battle with the disease. Pharrell Williams was spotted sporting an enameled dog tag-style bracelet stamped with the word HOPE.
It features black diamond beads and was designed by Serena. Taylor Swift walked the red carpet wearing lovely amethyst and diamond drop earrings designed by Jaimin. A little girl named Arabelle designed the ring Katy Perry wore. It is fashioned of amethyst, diamond and green garnet.
The jewelry is for sale with 100 percent of the proceeds going to fund a special art and jewelry design therapy program at the hospital. It is in partnership with the Gabriel’s Angels Foundation.
“Words can not describe how amazing this experience was”, said Lorraine. “I thought that this would be a fun experience for the kids but it turned out to be a life-changing experience for me”.
