Piaget Celebrates 6th year of USPA Gold Cup sponsorship with new watch
With the USPA Gold Cup coming to International Polo Club in Palm Beach on March 10 through 14, luxury watchmaker Piaget has announced their continuing sponsorship of the competition. This is the sixth straight year for Piaget’s involvement with the event. This is the 39th year of the USPA Gold Cup in Southern Florida, felt by many to be one of the most prestigious polo matches in the world.
Piaget is already the “Official Timekeeper” of the International Polo Club Palm Beach as well as sponsor of the entire polo season at the club. Simultaneously, Piaget is adding a new watch to its polo watch collection. The new watch is the Polo FortyFive Black. Previous editions of the FortyFive black models have sold in the $10,000 range. We are about to enter the Triple Crown season for polo with the three most important matches taking place in March and April, including the Piaget sponsored match in Palm Beach. The Palm Beach Polo Golf and Country Club sits on 2,200 acres in Wellington, Florida, and calls itself the equestrian capitol of America.
Luxury watch brands continue to search for sports sponsorships that match their high end demographic and Piaget is obviously happy with its association with polo in Florida.
