Famed luxury brand Dolce & Gabbana was geared up for their next project and newest release within the jewelry world: Men’s watches. After the successful release of their jewelry collection last year, the Italian designers decided to produce a lush, Swiss-made collection to be embellished in diamonds, rubies, emeralds and sapphires—and split into three styles.
The Dolce and Gabana watch line has been on the market for over a month now. By the end of the year, the fashion power-house would like them sold in over 30 stores.
There are 52 watches in the line, divided between three categories:
DG7 watches are sleek and fashionable, made for the modern business-class. These automatic winding and mechanical movement timepieces have a glass caseback so that you can see the oscillating weight that recharges the movement. Movement is usually good for about 42 hours, so these watches are advised to be worn every day.
The DG7 Gems watch has a Swiss technology quartz movement and each timepiece is entirely gold plated to prevent oxidization and improve electrical conductivity. Each of these timepieces is unique and eye catching.
Dolce & Gabbana also released the DS5 Automatic Winding Mechanical Movement timepieces. Again adorning the glass caseback to show the movement, this watch has the same operating pieces of the DG7 watches, but generally feature metal bands and modern faces.
Watches from all three collections are geared toward different styles, but all are fashionable and relatively low priced: Generally between $200-$500. A great new, affordable collection from one of the largest European fashion-houses in the world.
