Diamonds and Donuts: The June 24th Boca Raton Breakdown
One element of this great country that sets it apart is its freedom to innovate. Local businesses do just that as they establish themselves in communities, make a life for their families, and create something that is equal parts their own and their community’s, something we try do in our Boca Raton community.
Diamonds by Raymond Lee is a family-run business in South Florida that has been retailing engagement rings and wedding rings for three-and-a-half decades. While strong family values, a personal touch, and community involvement have always been an imperative to this local jeweler, only recently have those ideals involved exotic cars.
What goes together better than shiny cars and even shinier diamonds? Not much, but free donuts and coffee don’t hurt! Even better, all the exciting sights, sounds, smells, and tastes are for a purpose—to bring the community together in the name of charity.
Once a month, people (and cars) from all walks of life with a wide variety of preferences converge on the parking lot of Diamonds by Raymond Lee to share and enjoy cars ranging from a few thousand dollars to over a million. All are equally welcomed and appreciated.
Let’s Talk Diamonds by Raymond Lee
We’ll get to the main event in a moment, but first, let’s introduce you to Diamonds by Raymond Lee. It’s one thing to read an article about an event, but it’s entirely another thing to read an article about an event put on by a local, family-owned business that cares deeply for its customers, their passions, and of course, its very own niche. Diamonds by Raymond Lee is a family-owned engagement ring and wedding band retailer in South Florida.
An authorized retailer for the world’s top designer engagement ring bands, Diamonds by Raymond Lee is here to help you select the perfect ring — we’re not just talking about the aesthetic details, either (although, that’s important, don’t get us wrong!). Diamonds by Raymond Lee is here to help you get the perfect ring with plenty of ease – that means fit, size, look, everything. When it comes to brands, we’re happy to say that we’re an authorized retailer for exclusive ring designers including, but of course, not limited to, Tacori, Verragio, Simon G, Henri Daussi, A. Jaffe, and Gabriel & Co.
But Diamonds by Raymond Lee in Boca Raton is so much more than just engagement rings and engagement bands – we feature watches, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, pendants, pins, bands, and more. If it’s fine jewelry in the South Florida (or in the Boca Raton area) you’re looking for, then Diamonds by Raymond Lee is the establishment you want.
The main message behind every single one of our products? Our diamonds are hand selected to ensure they provide the most clarity, brilliance
Let’s Talk About Diamonds and Donuts in Boca Raton
Now, on to our main event, what we’re all here to read about.
The monthly event, fondly known as Diamonds & Donuts, draws crowds from Boca Raton and neighboring cities. Drawn by a love of cars, a curiosity, or simply the goodness of their hearts, a spirit of light-hearted comradery is almost tangible as people wander through the alluring sheet metal and contribute their time and money to worthy causes.
While direct donations are always welcomed, the majority of funds are raised through the monthly not-for-profit barbeque that takes place. A few hours after the free coffee and donuts have been gulped away and devoured, the scent of barbeque curls through the South Florida air to tempt the car-gazers into guilt-free deliciousness. Every penny from the barbeque goes to the month’s charitable cause.
June 24: The Diamonds and Donuts Recap
The most recent car show benefitted the Boys and Girls Clubs of Broward County, an organization that works tirelessly to provide young people with opportunities they may not have otherwise. From providing a safe environment in which to learn to developing relationships with children who need them most, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Broward County have and continue to do incredible things for both the youth and the community of which they are members.
For the next Diamonds and Donuts event we are hosting a back to school supply drive for the Boys and Girls Club.
Beyond the irresistible food, electric atmosphere, and most importantly, money raised to benefit those doing irreplaceable work in the community, there are the cars. Vehicles are grouped in different areas based on their category. For example, there are typically dedicated sections for exotic cars and American muscles cars, to name a couple.
We were lucky enough to snag a ton of awesome cars to feature at our Diamonds and Donuts show this month. From dodge challengers and chargers to GTRs to exotic cars, we had quite the variety. We’re happy to report we had a full house – AKA, we were packed with awesome cars and had plenty of guests visit our event. That being said, there’s always room for more – make sure you visit our July event on the 29th!
Okay, enough shameless promotion – let’s get to the real reason you’re here, the information on the awesome cars that came to hang out with us for our June Diamonds and Donuts Boca Raton event. Check out our breakdown below and see what awesome stuff you missed. Or, if you attended the event, reflect on a few of your favorites!
Cars, Cars, Cars
While there are a great many unique vehicles to see at the Diamonds and Donuts car show, one of the favorites is always the Bugatti Veyron. This exotic has been hugely popular on social media, television shows, and among supercar lovers, and for good reason. Not only does its curved ooze coolness and speed, its performance is unmatched by any other street-legal production car. With the standard model producing 987 horsepower and the Super Sport reaching almost 1200, the Bugatti Veyron is truly a beast—even if you never reach its top speed that exceeds 250 miles per hour. What could be more impressive than that? Perhaps the price tag. This exotic beauty checks in at over one-and-a-half million dollars.
It’s certainly easy to get caught ogling the Bugatti and lose sight of the other incredible cars surrounding it, but trust us, it’s worth tearing yourself away from the Veyron to take a look at all the other vehicles. Among those present at this month’s show several Lamborghinis, which are quite literally “can’t miss.” While there were several models present at the show, each stood out with unmistakable sharp lines, aggressive stances, and bright hues.
One of the more popular Lamborghini models at the show was the Hurican, of which we had at least a half dozen. The swoop of the roof flows seamlessly into the hood and rear of the car, making it look as fast as it is. This Italian legend backs those looks up with just under 600 horses on tap. One of our favorites at the event was from Instagram user @gold_m11. His neon green mantis was a bright and vibrant reminder of why we do what we do – so we can see sexy, exotic, muscle cars, of course! Among other favorites at this event in the Lamborghini Hurrican model included cars from Instagram users @hurricandoc, @drcaraton, and @fabio.rabelo.nyc. To get a better look at each of these cars, check out each of their Instagram accounts.
Some of the other Lamborghinis on site included the Aventador and Diablo—both unbelievable looking vehicles despite being separated by over a decade. The Aventador looks as though it could break the sound barrier with its angular, arrow-shaped body. It is truly a sight to behold, assuming you can see more than a blur as it sprints from 0-60 miles per hour in under 3 seconds. It’s not wonder this is one of the vehicles that comes to mind at the mention of supercars.
The Diablo is similar to its newer brand mate, but it has a more classic design that harkens back to its production in the 1990s. Not only does it look both graceful and menacing, it has a curb appeal that has made it a popular choice for both movies and video games. If you’ve watched a film or TV show from the 90s that features cars or played a video game based on racing, chances are you’re familiar with the first Lamborghini to break the 200 miles per hour barrier. Want to see what you missed? Check out supercars from @gt3robbie.
Diamonds and Donuts isn’t limited to Italian supercars, though. Nissan was represented in full-force by GT-R Squad of South Florida (@gtrsquadofsfl). In fact, there were over 30 Nissan GT-Rs present at the June car show showing off their jaw-dropping looks, smile-inducing exhaust notes, and overall supercar appeal. While it may have more humble origins than the likes of Lamborghini, the GT-R is no slouch when it comes to curb appeal and rubber-melting speed. It goes from 0-60 miles per hour in well under 3 seconds.
McLaren was also represented by several top-of-the-line models. Easily distinguishable with the brand’s swooping design cues, the 570S, 650S, and 720S were all present.
Our Partner for this Event
For our June event, we chose to partner with the Boys and Girls Club of Broward County, a partner we have worked with several times in the past and plan to continue working with in the future. In fact, we plan to partner again with them for our July 29th event – a feat we’re happy to have accomplished and a partnership we’re proud to uphold.
If you’ve never heard of the Boys and Girls Club of Broward County, that’s reason enough to come check out our car show. This establishment has offered unwavering commitment and care to the youth of Broward County since their inception in 1965. The goal of the Boys and Girls of Broward County is to provide youth with the tools, skills, and care they need to succeed in life. They provide a club experience for youth like no other, reaching out to every young person who graces their doorways with the goal of keeping them on track to graduate, planning for the future, and being the best version of themselves possible. More than anything, the club is there to support and encourage a healthy lifestyle, great character, and positive citizenship for the Boca Raton and South Florida areas overall.
The Boys and Girls Club of Broward County offers South Florida youth the opportunity for a safe place to grow and learn, ongoing relationships with caring adult professionals, hope, and the chance to participate in life-changing programs that allow for character development, personal health, and mental growth.
With a keen eye on good character, ideal citizenship, healthy lifestyle, and academic success, any youth who is fortunate enough to get involved with the Boys and Girls Club of Broward County is destined for success.
Our Appreciation and Our Accolades
But of course, we can’t make this happen without our partners, sponsors, and participants. In fact, if not for some of our main partners, this event certainly wouldn’t be possible. We’re eternally grateful for people and organizations that work with us every month to put on these car shows — we don’t know where we’d be without you, but we’re pretty sure it would be a lot rougher.
For starters, let’s talk about one of our partners Tri County Mopars. You might know them better by their former name, Mopar561. This establishment is a club within the South Florida area, most specifically Broward County and Boca Raton area, that showcases muscle cars, unique makes, and all around bad-looking cars. This last Diamonds and Donuts event we had in June featured just over 40 cars that belonged to Tri County Mopars, a feat that’s not easily accomplished.
They also recently won the “Largest Mopar Club Award” from the Mopar Attack event. If you’re interested in being part of the Largest Mopar Club in South Florida, we suggest you reach out to Tri County Mopars right away. You can find them on Instagram at @tricountmopars.
We send our deepest and biggest congratulations to this club – we wish you the best and our Diamonds and Donuts event wouldn’t be the same without you! Keep on following your passions, doing great work, and showing the world (and the Boca Raton and South Florida regions) those awesome Mopar cars. Way to go, friends!
We can’t forget one of our other great partners in this event, Exotic Car Society. This society was established in 2016 and is located in the Coral Gables area, however, the exotic car society spans the entire nation. This is the only premier members-only supercar club that offers unprecedented access to all the leading exotic car events and social gatherings that are found in South Florida and across the state (in some cases, across the nation). The Exotic Car Society claims to continually buildup an elite network of outstanding supercars, uniting owners to form an established international base. The branch in South Florida (most notably in Coral Gables), helps to keep locals connected to the pulse of everything surrounding the supercar, exotic lifestyle (both in Florida and across the country).
Our Diamonds and Donuts Boca Raton event would be nothing without their support! Thanks for continually partnering with us, hanging out every month, and featuring your glorious exotic cars at our Diamonds and Donuts events.
Want to know more about them? Check out their website here or give their Instagram a follow. You can find them at @exoticcarsociety1. Take a look at their feed for awesome content, great people, and of course, exotic cars.
And last, but certainly not least, we’d like to give a special thank you to a continual partner of ours, The GTR Squads of Florida Group. This group may not be large (they have just over 60 members at this point), but their numbers are increasing every day. A niche group, they provide the coolest of the cool when it comes to GTrs, and without their awesome features in our monthly Diamonds and Donuts event, we’d be severely lacking some spice!
Thanks for partnering with us, GTR Squad. If you’re interested in checking out their page, seeing their great content, or even joining their club and adding numbers to their ranks, check out their Instagram. You can find them at @gtrsquadofsfl.
We want to make sure to thank all of our partners, but we want to thank the spectators, participants, and passersby that make all of this possible. Without your support and commitment to attending these events, we wouldn’t be able to help our awesome chartable organization partners, or have a platform to show off these awesome, exotic, unique cars – we truly could not have this event in Boca Raton without you!
Our Next Event: All the Details You Need
It’s certainly rare to find a car show of this caliber in the parking lot of a local business. It’s even rarer for such a diverse and well-represented show to not have an entrance fee. This commitment to providing the community with an opportunity to come together and enjoy incredible cars, great food, and a sense of unity—all in support of charity—is the perfect display of what Diamonds by Raymond Lee in Boca Raton values.
What’s even more impressive and exciting, though? Diamonds for Donuts is Boca Raton, and really all of South Florida’s, only monthly car event. Sure, you see car shows every so often in South Florida, but how often can you count on a regular car show with quality, wow-worthy cars every single month? The shower answer: only from Diamonds and Donuts.
We provide the South Florida public with the entertainment they need and the cars they love with a charitable twist – and truly, that’s the best kind of entertainment out there. While we typically work with The Boys and Girls Club of Broward (as we did the month of June and will continue to), our charitable organizations may change! Don’t be afraid to reach out to Diamonds and Donuts sponsors and organizers to get details on how to partner up! No matter what, our Diamonds and Donuts event will always have a charitable tie, so don’t be afraid to discuss your charitable organization with us. Likely, we’ll plan for a raffle with tons of different items that can help benefit said charity (as we did with the Boys and Girls club in June).
Did you miss out on our June event? We thought you might have. As much as we would have loved to see you there, we’ve got great news – the monthly event is coming back in July (of course!). You can join us on July 29 for our monthly Diamonds and Donuts show. If you’re interested in showing up to see the beautiful cars, eat the delicious BBQ, help out the charitable cause, and overall have a great time, then come on down!
For our July event, you can join us at 2801 North Federal Highway in (of course) Boca Raton. We’ll be out in the Diamonds for Donuts parking lot from 9am until 2pm with our Charity Barbecue happening around 12 pm. What’s more, we’ll have breakfast snacks for the early birds, a live DJ (shout out to DJ Lite Bites), and potentially the most exciting of all, a jewelry giveaway! Will you be the lucky winner of the raffle receiving a classy watch? Will we give away a gorgeous diamond band? The only way to find out is to come on down, join the party, and get to ogling those cars on the lot – we can’t have the event without you!
But what if you want to do more than just spectate, eat some tasty barbecue and help out the cause? What if you want to be involved far beyond that? What if, dare we say it, you want to show off that fancy car of yours in a monthly car show that’s beyond compare? We’ve got (more) good news – you’re more than welcome to join us! We always welcome new additions to our car show — why wouldn’t we? We want nothing more than to grow this charitable event bigger and bigger so that we can get the word out about our charitable partners, raise money for them, and of course, provide a platform for the people who love cars and good causes more than anything (and diamonds, but that goes without saying).
If you’re interested, please reach out here and RSVP so we can get in touch with you an reserve you and your beautiful car a spot at our next event. Simply sign up, let us know the make and model of your car, some of your basic information, and of course, your Instagram handle so we can offer the chance for you to be featured on our own Instagram, @diamonds_donuts.
Not planning on bringing your car? No sweat! We can’t wait to see you – if you can, though, RSVP anyway so we can know to say hey to you. You can do that by clicking the same link and letting us know some of your basic information.
For the July 29th Donuts and Diamonds Car Boca Raton event, we’ll be (once again) proudly partnering with the Boys and Girls Club of Broward County. Our charity barbecue will begin promptly at noon. Upon purchase, you and your friends (or family or work associates – whoever you want to bring), will receive a wrist band that gets you an all-access pass to raffles and of course, all-you-can-eat barbecue.
Like we said, we’re a monthly event, and we plan to be for as long as we’re able, so if you can’t hang out at our July event, we certainly expect to see you at our August Diamonds and Donuts show. That being said, we definitely don’t recommend delaying – each car show offers new cars, different car owners, delicious barbecue (we can’t change that), and a chance to offer a helping hand and some charitable donations to our awesome partners.
If you’re interested in more information about our upcoming event in July, any of our future events, partnering with Diamonds for Donuts in Boca Raton, helping out the Boys and Girls Club of Broward County, or just want to chat about cars and diamonds, we strongly encourage you to reach out to us! You can reach our office at (561)-623-8205. You can also visit or website or our RSVP page here to get more details about the event, how to register your fancy car, and how to talk to us! If it’s cars your after, jewelry, and charity, we suggest that you give our Instagram a follow. Find us at @diamonds_donuts on Instagram for your fix of classic cars, good causes, and of course, the tastiest barbecue.
Don’t hesitate! Reach out to us, check out our event, and give our Boca Raton store a stop-by. We can’t wait to hear from you!
