Blake Lively Wedding Photos – Or Lack Thereof

When Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds got surprise-married this summer, we were hankering for details. Luckily, Blake wasn’t shy about showing off her engagement ring to the paps.

This timely and well executed “surprise” photo shoot assured us we’d see wedding pictures soon. yes, the couple was adamant that their privacy was key, but Blake had no qualms about giving People a great look at her ring. It took almost 8 months for us to see a non-blurry photo of Jessica Biel’s engagement ring – perfect ring shots like that are very hard to come by.

And when no pictures were forthcoming, it seemed like Blake and Ryan had a plan: show off their beautiful nuptials in a tasteful spread in Martha Stewart Weddings. Because Martha planned the affair it made perfect sense – rather than a tabloid cover or brief Town & Country mention. And so we awaited the day that Martha would release the Blake Lively Wedding Issue, eagerly anticipating the ogling of her Marchesa (!) wedding gown.

Sorry friends, it seems like this celeb pictorial gets a womp womp. The only photos featured on Martha Stewart weddings are of flowers and desserts.

We like looking at desserts and bouquets as much as the next wedding lovers, but we did expect a little bit more. Understandably the couple is trying to protect their privacy, so we’re not too upset that there weren’t photos of Florence Welch doing the Macarena, but come on Blake, show us the dress!
