Feature Friday: Cartier Baignoire
Feature Friday is Fashion Friday and TGIF! We’re featuring one of our favorite pieces from the showroom fashioned two ways for whatever your weekend holds.
TGIF! Today we’re torn between outfit options for this amazing vintage Cartier Baignoire. Not only is it a rare find from the 70’s, this men’s watch features an Audemars Piguet movement. The gorgeous simplicity of the white enamel dial contrasts with the oversized Roman Numerals and oversized case in general. The elongated oval of the case resembles its moniker (baignoire is French for bathtub), and a sapphire cabochon on the crown gives it that added Cartier touch. We love wearing a vintage men’s watch as a ladies’ accessory, and think it’s a funky and fun way to add personality to a gorgeous cocktail gown. Of course, it can also play to Cartier’s patent Le Ecoliers chic. And few things shout academy chic like a fitted blazer in classic colors. And a leather flared skirt keeps things trendy (and on par with the Baignoire’s lizard strap). Killer accessories don’t hurt either outfit, and we just can’t decide. But it’s your weekend, your choice – so This? Or That?
