Bachelorette Party Planning 101
This is your big moment. Your best friend is rocking a sparkly engagement ring from a man who adores, supports and encourages her in every way. Now, the pressure is on her to make the wedding unforgettable, but the pressure is on you, best friend and maid of honor, to give her an exceptional and rocking bachelorette party that’s both memorable and a little fuzzy. Here are a few quick tips for perfect (mostly) stress-free bachelorette party planning.
Have a Theme
Isn’t getting married the theme, you might ask? Of course, but having an additional playful theme for a bachelorette makes planning decorations, games and goodie bags much easier. Base the theme around your best friend. Does she prefer barefoot brews to a wild night of shots? Would she rather have a country-fied, cowgirl boot rocking night of mechanical bull riding? Or perhaps a chic and glamorous (and sparkly) night on the town inspired by Kate Middleton?
Have a Budget – And Collect Ahead of Time
Always plan the expenses and activities well in advance and get money from all the attendants before you head out for the party. You can always pay guests back if you overshoot the prices, but asking for more while partying is stressful for you and disappointing (or impossible) for others. When you have a rough idea of what you’d like to plan, run it by the other bridesmaids and any other essential guests. You might need to scale back your visions of a weekend in Vegas, but the other girls might have great ideas too.
Have a Good Time!
Yes, it’s your responsibility to make everything run smoothly and create a once-in-a-lifetime experience, but don’t take on so much you can’t enjoy the party as well. Plan everything, stick to the budget and bring some Bandaids; it’s going to be a fantastic night.
