Spotlight on: Lana Jewelry

Spotlight on: Lana Jewelry

Though gold jewelry never really has gone out of style, Lana Jewelry has been given a whole lot of credit for making the wearing of fine gold white-hot again. Designer Lana Bramlette has created a distinctive and delicate look for her pieces that at times is minimal but at the same time adds just the perfect amount of sparkle. The ‘Lana Look’ has been worn by celebrities world-wide, including Chelsea Handler, Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Lopez. Her products have found their way onto TV shows and red-carpet parties, even the cover of the 2010 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.

Today, fine jewelry created by the “Queen of Hoops” can be found at high-end retailers worldwide including Bloomingdales, Neiman Marcus, Intermix and Bergdorf Goodman. It’s one of a handful of American designers to be carried at Harrods of London.

In less than 10 years, Lana Jewelry has become sought after, especially the gold wire Upside Down Hoops, which have sold more than 150,000 pairs. Her other necklaces, bracelets, rings, and earrings also remain popular with not just the Tinseltown crowd but anyone who wants a bright memorable piece of jewelry.

Style-wise, Lana’s designs seem so basic yet offer something special. They are often start as simple and effective geometric shapes – hoops or triangles, for instance, or cascades of sparkly metal. Sometimes it’s a name or a special word like ‘Love.’

Sometimes she adds more, such as gemstones like diamonds or other light accents, such as the small suns on a pair of hoop earrings worn by Khloe Kardashian on the 2013 Kids Choice Awards. Khloe also rocked the triangular Sienna Earrings on the X-Factor.

Lana regularly comes out with new collections, including one after her daughter was born, and another inspired by her honeymoon to Europe.

She credits fashions and pop culture from the early 1980s for some of her early design influences, such as the large jewelry worn by Madonna or the bold necklaces worn by the society mavens on “Dynasty” She believes everyone should be allowed to bring sparkle into their world, and her jewelry can help people accomplish this.
