Benjamin Millepied Collabs with Van Cleef and Arpels for Paris Ballet
If you’re looking for a romantic getaway later this year, one that you’ll be best-advised to book well in advance would be the upcoming ballet piece entitled “Reflections.” The ballet will be the end result of a partnership between choreographer and dancer Benjamin Millepied, and Van Cleef & Arpels.
Van Cleef & Arpels debuted on the stage sponsoring their piece “Jewels,” showcasing the jewelry of the Parisian company and featuring choreography by the legendary George Balanchine. The latest followup promises to be just as dazzling as the company’s previous stage-efforts.
Millepied will have his hands full in coming years, as he will go immediately from “Reflections” to taking on the role of Director of Dance at the Paris Opera until Autumn of 2014.
If you’re not a ballet lover, then chances are that you know the company primarily for their gems, jewelry and watches. Millepied may be most well known among the mainstream as the choreographer for Darren Aronofsky’s seminal film “Black Swan” with Mila Kunis and Natalie Portman.
The music has been composed by David Lang while Barbara Kruger will handle much of the production design from stages to costumes.
If you want to check the show out, get your tickets now, as they will sell out fast.
