Tiffany & Co. for Great Gatsby
Baz Luhrmann’s remake of the great American novel isn’t due until Christmas this year, but book, movie and fashion fans alike are already salivating. The film’s trailer, released a few weeks ago, confirmed what many already suspected – that the movie would be chock full of amazing costumes. Daisy Buchanan herself, Carey Mulligan, is a fashion darling and co-hosted the Met Gala this year.
“It’s a natural role for Tiffany,” Jon King, the jeweler’s executive vice president, told WWD. “Tiffany was certainly part of this era. The brand was at the center of the parties of the rich and famous.”
The trailer was a feast for the eyes, and in the stills below, you can see some of the fabulous pieces Tiffany created.
Here Carey wears a fabulous platinum and diamond headband with pearl accents.
Once we tore our eyes away from the amazing purple stole in this shot, we were wowed by the pearl, platinum and diamond bracelets Carey, as Daisy, wears in this shot. Again, the platinum and diamond Gilded-Age headband makes an appearance. We love the feather motif on the accent piece.
In this shot, Carey wears simple pearl earrings of the highest quality – they are, after all, Tiffany & Co.
We can’t wait for this film to premiere so we can see all of the pieces that Tiffany created (or pulled from its archives) to bring the world of Daisy, Gatsby & Nick to life.
