Roger Federer Gets $15 Million from Rolex
Rolex ambassador Roger Federer was already having a good week. He defeated Brit Andy Murray on Sunday to become the second man in the world to win 7 Wimbledon titles. He upped his Grand Slam count to 17, chuckling as he left buzz worthy player Nadal with 6 less. He tied Pete Sampras with 286 weeks at the top of the ATP. And he proved that age ain’t nothin’ but a number to remain the world’s No. 1 tennis player.
The Swiss phenom already banks from several endorsement deals with Nike, Credit Suisse, Gillette and Lindt, among others. His total ambassadorships earn him about $43 million per year, by far and away the highest in the tennis world.
So what’s next after the newest Roger Federer Rolex endorsement deal? Somehow we doubt he’ll be going to Disney World – the greatest tennis player in the world wants to prove it indefinitely, and has his eye set on Olympic Gold.
