Big Bang Theory Actress Kaley Cuoco Engaged
“When you know, you know.” That’s what one source close to Kaley Cuoco said regarding Cuoco’s engagement to tennis star Ryan Sweeting. What a whirlwind of a relationship! After only 3 months of dating, the Big Bang Theory star is making her wedding plans!
Couco, 27, said yes to Sweeting, 26, on Wednesday, September 25. “Flying high, I could literally touch the sky with you…” is what Couco tweeted to over 1.6 million Twitter followers. She also shared a celebration photos on Instagram.
Couco is currently working her new film The Wedding Ringer–playing the bride both on screen and in real life! All those wedding bells might tempt a girl to go Bridezilla, but we have faith that Couco will be able to keep it together!
She was first spotted wearing her massive bling ring on Wednesday! Diamond solitaire on a wide platinum band–this ring is a stunner! We don’t have a clear enough picture to be sure of the cut, but it’s rumored to be emerald or cushion cut. Whatever it is, it sure sparkles from a distance!
2013 is all about unique rings for unique women! No longer are brides-to-be looking for the traditional solitary diamond on a plain band, the majority are looking for something to express their own style and individual tastes.
Here are some creative and trendy engagement rings styles for 2013:
1. Antique Cut
Bringing back the emerald and cushion cut, new engagement rings have antique inspiration. Originally the cut for emeralds, emerald cut diamonds are all about drama and flash. The long lines of the cut are elegant and sophisticated, but this openness also shows any flaws, requiring a high grade of stone. The cushion cut diamond has an antique cut that was difficult to find until a recent resurge in popularity. Not as fiery as some of the more recent cuts, the cushion cut exudes a classic romantic charm.
2. Lace-cut Band
One more for the vintage crowd, the lace-cut band is making a big comeback with its feminine style. Elegant and sophisticated, lace-cut and dripping with diamonds is a great way to make your band uniquely stunning.
3. Choosing Color
No longer are engagement rings solely about a diamond. A big trend featuring large emerald, sapphire and yellow stones means white is no longer the only option. Color is a fun way to show off your personality and stand out from the traditional engagement ring crowd.
4. Horizontal Setting
The new East-West setting gives a very different and modern look to an engagement ring. This dramatic setting allows the stone to sit lower and wider than the traditional cuts.
5. Mixed Metals
While platinum has been all the rage for recent engagement rings, the other metals are back to play! A variety of precious metals afford a choice of more than just a silver color. Stacked rings are also currently popular, so why not try three different golden band colors for something different?
What you choose for your engagement ring may say a lot about you, so take time to find the cut, setting and band that are just right. The right ring (and the right man) on your big day will have you “flying high” like Kaley Couco.
