Panerai 10 Year Anniversary Celebrated with Hong Kong Exhibit

Officine Panerai are crafters of fine, Italian watches and they are known world wide for being a leader in the watch industry. They were established over 100 years ago and in 2012 celebrated ten years of business at their Hong Kong location. The Landmark Prince’s boutique first opened its doors in 2002 and it was Panerai’s debut store in Asia. In honor of their achievement, Panerai celebrated with a unique display commemorating their anniversary.

What better way to show off a prestigious watch collection than to build a display that looks like a Luminor watch box? Three of the outer walls of the box were semi-transparent while the fourth side remained open. The “top” of the box was an enormous replica of a watch face. Inside this innovative display, visitors could view a collection of watches crafted by Panerai. 48 watches in total were generously donated for the exhibit by owners happy to help Panerai celebrate its ten year anniversary.

Inside the display, the 48 watches were uniquely displayed in four different zones representing the linear hour indexes of twelve, three, six and nine. The watches were divided into the different zones which mirrored Panerai’s fundamental values of history, exclusivity, technicality and innovation. Special lighting effects were created to cast a light display on the floor which also mimicked the face of a watch.

This unique display was open to the public and will certainly be talked about for years to come.
