Top 5 Mens Shoe Trends Fall 2012
Our post earlier today about the top men’s fashion trends for fall has had our minds churning all day. As we were pinning away to our Masculine Monday board, we couldn’t help but notice we were liking and re-pinning close to everything Bonobos was pinning on their footwear boards. We’re suckers for a great pair of shoes, so we headed over to one of our favorite menswear sources to put together our top 5 mens shoe trends fall 2012:
Lace up Moccasins
These navy camp mocs are the perfect fit for the dwindling days of summer, but the navy leather and classic shape make them an easy transition to fall too.
The Anti-Rainboot
What to do when rainy days blow through to bring cooler fall temperatures? Well, there’s always the option of slapping on some classic Hunter rain boots, but this more rugged boot option is a niche change of pace. Incognito weather-proof uppers make these rain boots the un-rain boot.
The Driving Shoe
The driving shoe that took spring 2012 by storm isn’t going anywhere for fall. The laid back, decidedly leisurely shoe looks elegant in this supple caramel leather with neat, tan stitching.
The Smoking Slipper
The slipper, popping up in women’s footwear quite literally everywhere is also making a splash in men’s shoes. We like this classy black velvet pair.
The Semi Brogue
These semi brogues are the perfect option for day to night dress shoes. The elaborate punch out pattern belies the general flexibility of this shoe, but the closed lacing keeps the formal roots there. The dark espresso color is perfect with the two staples of the menswear fall color spectrum too – these will look great with a cobalt blazer or a burgundy sweater.
