Julianne Moore has Jewelry Stolen

The actress Julianne Moore was the unfortunate victim of jewelry theft and or burglary. Her New York home recently underwent renovations between June 6th and August 28th.

The police report specified that $127,000 worth of jewelry and watches, including Cartier. In fact, 7 of the 10 pieces stolen were Cartier, including  a $33,000 Cartier platinum diamond tennis bracelet (the most valuable item stolen). Four Cartier watches valued at a combined $77,800 were also stolen.

The police are currently investigating the case as grand larceny. We’re sad for Julianne and hope she recovers her jewelry and watches. In the mean time, this case serves as a reminder of the importance of safe jewelry keeping (literally in a safe if your collection is this extensive), the need for updated insurance appraisals, and having all of your pieces properly insured.
