Typically, men’s wedding bands wouldn’t spring to mind when imagining Eye Candy for guys. But a certain subset of the XY population (hey grooms!) has a vested interest. For many guys, their wedding band is the first piece of real jewelry they’ll own. And for some, it’s the only piece of jewelry they’ll ever wear. This gives the ring itself some major significance (not to mention all of the symbolism behind the ring – you know, the reason you’re wearing it?) And while the internet abounds with pretty much endless resources for brides, groom wedding planning tools are few and far between. But this is one area where every guy gets free reign (no, ladies, you may not dictate the metal type/design/size/matchability-to-your-rings, sorry!) The Updated Classic

The most traditional ring for men, a simple rounded band, is most often found in yellow gold variations. It’s also popular in platinum, but this 14kt white gold option offers all the understated elegance, simplicity and sleekness at a fraction of the cost.

Diamonds Can be a Guy’s Best Friend Too

If a little bit more of a statement is your taste, a diamond is obviously one of our favorite ways to add a dash of style. The tension setting is the most modern style of setting a diamond. With no prongs or bezel to hold the diamond in place, you’re given the impression the diamond floats effortlessly, while taking in the beauty of the stone, unobscured. The platinum setting is spring loaded, with a small groove etched into the metal for the .20ct diamond’s edges to rest. We like that this ring is almost an abstract inversion of a woman’s engagement ring. It makes an excellent choice for those with modern tastes & also makes an excellent men’s engagement ring.

An Inlaid Masterpiece

A slightly more traditional variation of the diamond ring for men is this 14kt white gold and emerald cut diamond band. Three small emerald cut diamonds are inlaid to create a seamless and understated flash. The emerald cut diamond is a step cut, and naturally less sparkly than a brilliant cut with more facets. This doesn’t mean the diamond is less beautiful; on the contrary a diamond must have superior clarity and color to be a truly stunning emerald cut!
