Our Favorite Fall 2013 Wedding Trends
Fall weddings are the stuff dreams are made of. Rich, jewel toned colors make a perfect palette when combined with glamorous metallics (one of our favorite wedding colors). Perfectly in-season apples make for gorgeous centerpieces and favors alike. The beauty of fall leaves makes a stunning backdrop in so many places, but here in South Florida, fall brings cooler temperatures and bright blue, cloudless skies. While the rest of the country’s wedding season cools down, South Florida’s just begins to heat up. Can’t you just imagine a lovely burgundy and bronze palette at The Breakers. Or pomegranates studded with silver calligraphy-ed place cards arranges on a silver platter in the Palm Court of the Boca Resort. Picture lovely, warm fancy yellow diamonds the color of fall leaves accessorizing a bride in an ivory lace sleeved wedding gown. So many lovely ideas for Palm Beach county fall weddings, but here are a few that you can use at your Boca Raton wedding, or anywhere else.
Fall Peonies
The flower of the year isn’t going anywhere, and though they’re out of season, brides still lust after these lush buds. Their virtual rainbow of color varieties of peonies ensures that your flowers will be perfect for your wedding colors – be they pale pastels or rich fall hues.
Return of the Cake
Wedding cakes are back! Along with a return to the more formal sit-down plated dinner format, brides are returning to the classic wedding cake. much as we adore outside the box wedding dessert ideas, there’s nothing like a multi-tiered, frosted and fondant-ed cake under a pinspot to draw focus during dinner (and have your guests licking their lips long before the dessert course!)
Caramel Apple Favors
With apples in-season, they’re the perfect sweet treat to give your guests. Dress them up with caramel, chocolate, nuts and candy before wrapping them prettily in cellophane, tied with silk ribbon and adda branded wedding sticker (or hand written hang tag) to each one to let your guests know they’re the apple of your eyes.
Colored Accessories
Brides have worn diamonds and pearls (and their secretly budget friendly costume counterparts) and looked beautiful. But this fall, a pop of color goes a long way. We love using sapphire jewelry as your something blue, but nothing makes our hearts go pitter patter quite the same way that fancy yellow diamonds do.
Edgier Footwear
The Kate Spade glitter bow slingback and Jimmy Choo sparklers may have reigned supreme for the past few years, but just like the blue Manolo Blahnik Hangisi before them, a new designer shoe is sweeping down the aisle. Valentino’s lacy confections have long been a wedding day mainstay, but allow us to make an argument for the Rockstud pump. In a bevy of colors, this edgy luxury shoe is the perfect complement to fall’s regal, classic Kate Middleton inspired gowns.
