Now, where most brands must rely on GIA and AGS for diamond authentication, across the globe, the Tiffany name is enough. No one jeweler will think twice about the Tiffany grading because they are as good as GIA, even though GIA is universally deemed the most reputable gem lab in the world.
Tiffany, however, claims their grading system is similar to GIA, but stricter. They are willing to state a grade below if a grading is right on the cusp, just to guarantee the stone’s quality.
