Aisle Style: Criss Cross Back Wedding Dress

The hottest wedding dress trends for 2014 are already being buzzed about by every major bridal publication. With gorgeous gowns to ogle on every bridal market runway, the editors of wedding magazines, the buyers for wedding dress boutiques (like our own fabulous Boca Raton Bridal) and soon-to-be-weds alike are all excited. Okay, we are too. There's nothing more exciting in the wedding planning process than the bride choosing her dress (or dresses, a trend we're a huge fan of). We're not saying every gal should order three Vera Wang dresses a la Kim Kardashian or Chrissy Tiegen, but trust us, after a long night of dancing (not to mention the hours you'll spend in your gown pre-ceremony), you'll be ready to break out a fun reception dress to finish out the evening. But we digress. Aisle Style is just that: the fabulous styles of wedding dresses you can wear down the aisle, and today we are all about the criss cross back wedding dress. This trend puts a spin on the backless wedding dress but adds another opportunity to inject texture, detail, or (or favorite) sparkle into your wedding day look. Check out some of our favorites.

Claire Pettibone "Flora"

Channel a woodland goddess in this flared Claire Pettibone gown with delicate lace flowers and vine appliqués. The deep v back is secured by delicate vines in an x pattern creating a stunningly elegant and earthy look.

Angel Sanchez

This amazing Angel Sanches number is crafted from silk gazar and we can't get enough of the structural ruffles trailing down the back. The rhinestone straps are a gorgeous addition but the small x of them in the back makes sure you sparkle coming and going.

Judd Waddell

Another super formal design, this Judd Waddell trumpet gown is a bright pearly white with chunky rhinestone border on the low back and thick rhinestone pave criss crossed straps.

Victoria Kyriakides

This dress is swoonworthy if we've ever seen one. Soft falls of silk satin gather at the back of a low v to create a delicate lace train. Sweetly sexy chantilly lace is scalloped into the most perfect sheer criss crossed back that we've ever seen on a wedding dress.
