Versace Jewelry Line to Debut at Haute Couture Fashion Week
Designer jewelry is on our short list of favorite things, and no House does unrestrained opulence like Versace. Donatella Versace announced yesterday that Versace would finally enter the realm of fine jewelry with a collection premiering at Paris Hate Couture Fashion Week.
The line itself is comprised of 16 original, hand crafted rings set with precious gems like rubies, emeralds, sapphires and – of course — diamonds. The rings will be created on a commission basis, available for purchase by appointment only.
Donatella says of the new, exciting venture:
“As a designer and a collector of fine jewelry, I have always wanted to offer the same quality of craftsmanship in jewelry as we offer with the Atelier Versace fashion collection. Each individual ring from the collection is a work of art.”
The line will debut, along with Versace’s F/W collection next week at the Ritz Paris – the first Versace show held there since Gianni Versace’s last show in 1997. We’re excited to see the entire line, along with the other fabulous jewels that will be shown at the jewelry showcase on Thursday. With names like Van Cleef and Arpels, Dior and Chanel all showing off fabulous jewels, Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week won’t disappoint!
