Spotlight On: Paul Morelli

Spotlight On: Paul Morelli

With homegrown high style, Philadelphia’s own Paul Morelli offers an eye-catching selection of diamond, precious and semi precious jewelry that is not only delicate and feminine, but also unique in design. Including rings, bracelets and necklaces, these luxurious pieces are colorful without being gaudy, and every item is handmade.

Many natural influences inspire Paul Morelli’s work. You can see this passion for the environment in his collections, which include dragonflies, flowers and leaves. They are shaped and distorted for a more artistic and stylish end result. Charming and youthful, without being girlish, these precious looks are elevated by the use of premium materials and the highest quality gems.

An Impressive Beginning

Hailing from an exceptionally creative family, one in which fashion and style were highly regarded, Paul Morelli began his life with a unique perspective of the importance of imagination. Learning to make patterns, sew, draw and design, he made anything he set his mind to, Morelli quickly found he had a knack for creating jewelry pieces that the people of Philadelphia loved.

One day, in 1981, Paul gathered all his rings, necklaces, bracelets and various odds and ends of jewelry to sell at an arts and crafts fair. Not only did he sell out of every piece but Bergdorf Goodman’s signed him up to design a collection. He never looked back.

The Iconic Pieces

Though every piece is exceptional and most are one-of-a-kind, there are a few notable items you should recognize from Paul Morelli’s esteemed career. Expensive, prismatic and detailed, the Meditation Bell pendants are some of the most highly coveted of his collection. Featuring gold, silver, diamonds and turquoise, each one is remarkable.

Paul Morelli may have gotten his start in a humble arts and crafts fair, but his innate creativity and eye for design ensured he would rise to the top. Though his pieces are now breathtakingly pricey, they’re worth the investment if you’re hungry for timeless, wearable artwork.
