Luxury in Bangkok

We’re itching for a quick jaunt across the globe to Asia, and considering our next trip to Hong Kong isn’t for two more weeks, we’re jetting to Bangkok for today’s Where/Wear. Last time we were in Thailand, the relaxing islands beckoned, but today we’re feeling adventurously urban. Bangkok’s spicy mix of nightlife, cosmopolitan enormity, ancient temples and singular geography make it an intriguing destination perfect for Travel Tuesday.

While authentic Thai food ranks high on our list of reasons for this trip, there’s only one true reason to brave Bangkok’s hot & rainy wet season: shopping.

You’ll find us in Gaysorn, scooping up Louis Vuitton, Gucci, and Prada to our hearts’ content! And after we’ve cleared the racks at Dior, we’ll be understandably tired (the phrase ‘shop til you drop’ comes to mind.) And where better to unwind from Bangkok’s fast-paced, tropical metropolis than at one of Bangkok’s most luxurious resorts?

Andrew Harper dubbed The Sukhothai Bangkok as both the place for serious shoppers and gourmands alike – we’re sold. But what to wear to a resort that’s pure luxury in Bangkok for a some Thai fine dining? We’re sure we’ll pick something up on our shopping excursion, and it would likely look something like this…
