Watch of the Week: The Louis Vuitton Tambour Chronograph
It’s not too often that we feature luxury fashion house’s timepieces here on the Raymond Lee Jewelers Blog, but considering the explosion of fine timepieces from brands like Burberry, Versace and Dolce and Gabbana, we’re breaking out this Louis Vuitton Tambour chronograph.
This watch strives to cram as many features (both design and horological) as possible into its dial. You’ve got Arabic numbers, batons, chronographs and a date window. That’s to say nothing of the watch’s smooth taupe dial, sharp black enamel markers and bright yellow second hands. A stainless steel bezel and case pay close homage to a Pasha, but it still works.
The sleek stainless case features an LV engraved crown and pushers with an additional engraving of L-O-U-I-S-V-U-I-T-T-O-N encircling the entire case, lest you forget who created your timepiece.
And more LV on the case’s back continues Louis Vuitton’s grand tradition of monogram pride. But really, when you’re wearing LV you love your watch, either in spite of or because of their prominent branding. The watch’s beauty compensates for any over-initialing – a creamy sable colored gator strap elevates this watch even further.
