Mouwad L'Incomparable Necklace Unveiled
It was discovered in the 1980s, found in the Democratic Republic of Congo. It was not a distinguished discovery as it was found in a pile of kimberlite. A poor little girl had come across it and at first it looked to be a mass of unpolished stone (890 carats, to be precise). Initially it was thought to be practically worthless. That mass yielded one of the world’s most beautiful and precious gems, It was called L’Incomparable, translating to “the incomparable”.
Internally flawless and over 407 carats, the diamond is a stunning shade of amber. It had toured the world on its own for a while, letting audiences gaze at its unequaled size and brilliance. The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) certified stone has now been used as centerpiece for a Mouawad necklace creation also known as L’Incomparable.
The stunning diamond dangles from a rose gold vine studded with 230 carats of round brilliant, pear shaped, square shaped emerald cuts, emerald cuts, heart shaped and oval diamonds. This necklace truly is incomparable.
