Hong Kong International Jewelry Show: Wrap Up
Our time here in Hong Kong is coming to an end – for now. Of course we’ll be back in June for the June Hong Kong Jewellery and Gem Fair, we can never stay away from HK for too long! And why would we? The Hong Kong jewelry shows give us an opportunity to trade with the creme de la creme of our industry.
With gorgeous jewelry and watches ever present at the Hong Kong shows, they attract some of our most serious watch and diamond collectors. This show was no different – the customers who sought us out were interested in our rare pieces, our unique pieces, our one-of-a-kinds. Hong Kong is one place where an opulent ruby necklace will sell and a “run of the mill” Cartier Love bangle doesn’t attract a second glance. In Hong Kong, our commercial goods just don’t perform as well as our strong sales in rare and important gemstones and diamonds. Same goes for watches – strong sales across the board but special attention was paid to our rare finds, like this stainless steel Patek Philippe Aquanaut & the white gold ladies’ Breguet right below:
