Hublot Creates Depeche Mode Hublot Big Bang Limited Edition For Charity

For the second time in recent years, Hublot watches and the popular band Depeche Mode is joining forces for a charitable cause. In 2010, the band and the brand worked together to raise funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust. Depeche Mode did a benefit performance at London’s Royal Albert Hall. Hublot auctioned off 12 of their brand’s luxury timepieces. The fundraiser was a huge success.

This time, the cause is safe drinking water for under-developed countries. The announcement was made on March 18th at a press conference in Berlin. The funds generated will go for the organization charity: water.

Hublot is excited about the 250 watches created for the fundraiser. The collection is called the Limited Edition Big Bang Depeche Mode.

Although it is not clear what portion of the Depeche Mode Hublot Big Bang sales will be donated, proceeds will generously go to this very worth cause. Hublot chairman and spokesman John-Claude Biver stated, “No water, no life! ” He went on to say that no one should have to go without drinkable water. “Sharing water means sharing life and love,” Biver related.

Martin Gore, Depeche Mode’s lead musician said that he has been an advocate for charity:water for a while. He is excited that the band can support the cause for making drinking water available to places around the world struggling with the lack of it.

The Limited Edition Big Band Depeche Mode line will advertise internationally at the same time of Depeche Mode’s 2013 tour in Europe.
