Why Wedding Rings are Worn on the "Ring Finger"
Typically on Wedding Wednesday, we spend a fair amount of time ogling gorgeous engagement rings and wedding bands. And while we can (and do) wax poetic on every diamond from Asscher cut to Trilliant, we don't spend too much time thinking about the symbolism behind wedding rings. Of course, we stress the importance of loving your ring almost as much as you do your future spouse (you've got them both for life!) But do you ever stop to think about why we wear the bands on our "ring" finger? Or why the ring finger is called that? Occasionally we do, but beyond something to do with a vein to the heart that we saw somewhere on Pinterest, we were a little foggy. Until we saw this infographic.
