City of Boca Raton Holiday Street Parade 2018
During this incredible holiday season there are more than the fair share of tourists flocking to South Florida. The mild weather and impeccable beaches, to our very own unique lifestyle attract visitors from all over the world. Boca Raton is one of the most visited cities year round. During this time of year though there is an obvious and intense increase. As much as we love welcoming everyone to our sunny slice of paradise we also deeply treasure our local community. It is why we as a community host holiday parties, events and parades! It allows us locals to gather together and show some tourists holiday cheer. At Diamonds by Raymond Lee we went full out part of the City of Boca Raton Holiday Street Parade 2018. Our bank truck that we use to transport jewels and gems was all decked out in lights into a float for the parade.
We took the opportunity to share some holiday spirit and light up the town. Over 70 floats participated in this year’s street parade. And we could not be more impressed with the effort and joy each one of the participating groups brought. With an amazing organized theme of Broadway to Boca we got to enjoy song, dance and lights all along the Federal Highway. This was the 48th annual street parade during the holidays and it was a blast. Approximately 30 thousand spectators were present for this year’s Holiday parade. It was a great opportunity to see some familiar faces and a chance to connect with our wider Boca Raton community. We would also like to extend a huge thank you to the City of Boca Raton, FL local government for organizing a fun, safe, and as always lit up parade for us all to enjoy. Check out photos below.
The City of Boca Raton Holiday Street Parade 2018
From the adorable girls of the Brownie Girl Scouts troop to the wonderful Key Club and even the Boca Raton Airport there were special event participants of all ages and from all over town. This year we really did bring Broadway to Boca, Sights and Sounds of Broadway abounded as all of the floats and groups made their way down the Federal Highway. It was a night to remember that is for sure. The cool weather, although still very mild for those from up North, was a perfect 57 degrees setting the holiday mood just right for all of us locals. Festive music and bright lights filled up our city and we could not be happier to have joined in on the fun. We are all about community and building relationships that go beyond selling you products or offering services. It is why we always host semi monthly events ourselves.
What the City of Boca Raton manages to do each and every year for the Holiday Street Parade though is unmatched. People of all ages and from all places join together to see the stream of lights, dance to the music and enjoy the sights. Parades are such an iconic form of celebration and holiday parades are a special treat. Generally we wait anxiously from the middle of July for the next big city parade. We enjoyed every minute of this year’s parade. Downtown was packed with jolly holiday paraders and spectators. All joining together at the end to see the magnificent Christmas tree in Mizner Park. There the fun continued with the fun light show and more holiday music streaming in from downtown. The 2018 City of Boca Raton Holiday Street Parade 2018 was an absolute success and our bank truck did quite well if we say so ourselves.
Diamonds by Raymond Lee Holiday Truck
Undoubtedly each one of us put a lot of time and effort into setting up their section. We at Diamonds by Raymond Lee took out our bank truck and glamped it up with lights of all kinds. It is not every day you get to see a bank truck decked out in glowing snowflakes and some huge Christmas wreaths all around. With giant golden bows as accents of course. To top it all of we got our signature diamond logo placed right on top and all lit up like a Christmas tree topper. It was probably the safest of all of the floats. With it being a functional and active bank truck every other day of the year and what not. But we like to think it was also one of the most fun ones. We wrapped that truck in lights from top to bottom and got it shining bright.
If the Grinch were around and tried to steal Boca Raton’s Christmas you can be sure he would have no chance with our bank truck turned Holiday Street Parade float. All of Santa Claus’ presents can be counted as safe and sound in there. Although we cannot officially say whether Santa Claus himself is one of our clients there are more than a few Boca Raton locals who entrusted their festive season gifts to come from us. And although our bank truck is not pulled by reindeer nor did we fly it across the sky at night, we did get all precious gifts where they needed to be around town safely and securely. No Grinches or Home Alone robbers in sight. And now it is the night before Christmas and all through the house you will not hear a creature stirring, not even a mouse. Surely presents will be found.

The Boca Raton community
The Toys for Tots program run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve is one of the many ways we look forward to supporting, giving back and host a good time with all our Boca Raton clients. The rally saw over $80 million dollars worth of import cars, a record attendance, over 3,000 new toys, AND over $75,000 in cash, all of which went to Toys for Tots.

Now as much as we personally think our bank truck float was great we would be remiss not to mention all of the other fantastic floats in the parade! There were local businesses, organisations and talented professionals showing off all of their holiday cheer. It brought a whole lot of joy to our slice of paradise and brought us that much closer during this jolly season. It was a pleasure to ride alongside all of the nearly 70 floats that sparked and lit up the night in our beautiful city. Thank you to everyone who participated and to all of the spectators who made it well worth the effort and work to get the floats put together in time for this year’s parade. We wish everyone a very merry holiday and festive season in any which way you celebrate it.
Amongst the local businesses and incredible community organisations that help make Boca Raton the lovely city it is there were schools, dance academies and even marching bands. It was great to see everyone involved and showing off their best skills to spread holiday cheer to our city. It was a magnificent parade and we are so thankful for all of the enthusiasm of our community. Local organisations, businesses and citizens joined together to create a beautiful evening. It is one of the reasons we are so proud to be in Boca Raton. It is the sense of community and enjoyment of life that fills each and every nook and cranny of this city. We may have been here for the last three decades but it feels as if we are just getting started. Not just for next year’s holiday parade and the year after that but for the next thirty.

Once again we want to highlight what an incredible job the city of Boca Raton’s local government did with the Holiday Street Parade. Also we want to thank them for their efforts and coordination between city officials, law and safety enforcement and local businesses and organizations. We could not have hoped for a better street parade and it was due to a huge effort from all of you. So thank you for your service and commitment to excellence throughout the year and particularly now during the holiday season. We wish all of you and our wider Boca Raton community a very happy holidays and wonderfully prosperous New Year in 2019.
