Christie's Auction offers Emeralds and Rubies–just in time for the Holidays!
Gear up for an amazing Christie’s auction just in time for the holiday season! Out of Christie’s Hong Kong Auction house, the auction will be available for registered buyers locally and online.
On November 27th, Christie’s World-Renowned Auction house is presenting Hong Kong Magnificent Jewels. This one-of-a-kind auction will feature 304 lots. The crowned jewel of the event is called The Grand Muzos: a pair of ‘Colombian, no oil pear-shaped emerald, pearl and diamond earrings.’ Each emerald in the set is over 20 carats in size and the estimated valuation is between $3.5-4.8 million for the set.
The Columbian Emeralds are held in higher regard than emeralds from everywhere else in the world. The Grand Muzos are unusually clear where most large emeralds have a number of naturally occurring inclusions.
This incredible auction also features a number of other emerald lots, as well as sapphires, diamonds, and jadeite.
“Leading the auction is a Burmese no-heat pigeon’s blood ruby and diamond necklace by James Currens for Faidee. Designed with 26 graduated oval-shaped rubies mounted in platinum and 18-karat yellow gold, the piece has a pre-sale high estimate of $5.5 million.”
This is a serious auction geared toward high-profile collectors that should not be missed. While the flagship pieces of the auction are valued extremely high, there are a number of moderately priced precious jewelry lots within the auction.
