Twisted Shank Engagement Ring Eye Candy

Twisted Shank Engagement Ring Eye Candy

Twisted Shank Engagement Ring

The twisted shank engagement ring is one of our favorite contemporary ring styles – and brides agree! Every one of the fabulous designers that we carry at Diamonds by Raymond Lee makes at least one engagement ring setting with a twisted diamond band. The twisted shank engagement ring (shank = band, by the way!) has a few different names, depending on the brand and who you ask. Verragio calls them “lace shank” engagement rings. Tacori doesn’t call them anything, but has an entire collection dedicated to this beautiful style – the Ribbon collection. Its rings each have their own distinct Tacori Touches, but the unifying detail is their intertwined string of diamonds for the foundation. Our gorgeous A. Jaffe, Henri Daussi, Simon G. and Gabriel & Co. rings all include at least one twisted shank style.

Occasionally, we see them called “infinity” bands, because a pair of loosely interwoven diamond bands can make the infinity symbol. We also see them called woven engagement rings, entwined engagement rings, and braided engagement rings. We even hear clientele refer to them as simply “twisted engagement rings” but that makes them sound like a gothic re-telling of a classic fairytale – they’re gorgeous and we don’t want to get that twisted!

The twisted look is popular because it’s such a modern, glamorous addition to many different styles of engagement rings. Whether you prefer a halo or solitaire, emerald cut or cushion cut, a twisted shank engagement ring will look fabulous and add another layer of detail to your ring. Even with a three stone style setting, a twist can be the perfect added touch peeking out from beneath. Dimension, texture, and more diamonds – what’s not to love?!

This petite crescent halo from Tacori employs a loose, open weave for its diamond bands to draw attention to just how enormous the center halo is.

And this Verragio Insignia three stone princess cut demonstrates how lovely a tightly woven shank is – even when it’s just peeking out from a classic 3 stone setting style. It adds another layer of texture and detail!

This solitaire beauty from the Pretty in Pink collection by Tacori is refined, but not lacking for any elegance.
