Breitling’s New Luxury Line-up
Whenever the production of fresh and new designer watches is released, there are certain expectations that typically come along to enhance levels of excitement or positive anxiety. It is all good; preparing the future clients for what is anticipated to be an experience to remember.
We all know the Chronomat GMT has turned heads, but recently Breitling caught the attention of other watch brands and aficionados of luxury watches. Presenting to the public the enhanced warranty offers of 5 years on all in-house movements and including the “Manufacture Breitling Caliber”, the intentional expansion of its line with these additions will give credibility to the watchmakers’ already long list of accomplishments.
The “Unitime” Has Arrived
“Transocean Chronograph Unitime” sports a Caliber 05 in-house movement. Being certified by COSC, it is a high-frequency movement with the self-winding capability included. What’s more, this fantastic timepiece with superb design has the reserve power of up to 70 hours. For a nice touch of sorts, various languages are available to adorn the city bezel.
If this catches your attention just a little, then the time zone function accessed by turning the crown forward or in reverse initiates certain corrections. They include the hour hand adjustment that does not affect the minute hand, the city disk, and the 24 hour disk as well. Date adjustments have been designed to automatically occur.
Adding to its appeal are the options for a steel mesh bracelet, setting the tone for a bright stainless steel ring and white dial. For a more flamboyant look, Breitling produced an incredibly strong and bold look with a red gold, 18 karat watch and leather strap donning a black dial with bright inset indicators.
The Unitime has definitely notched out a place among its class. Pictured below, sheik looks aligned with bold, non-apologetic design will most certainly address the palates of Breitling fans and newcomers alike.
Smaller, Sleeker, and Right for the Time
Moving on to another fine piece of work is the Chronomat GMT (because a blog about luxury watches MUST feature the Chronomat GMT!), a smaller 44 mm size watch that has received the Caliber 04 movement also created with a powerful 70 hour reserve. The colors of the dial are a brilliant blue, standard gray, or a bold “black eye”. What may be surprising is the simplicity of the bracelets, being leather or rubber.
The “Chronomat GMT” still has an appeal of being very subtle or not so flamboyant, but having such characteristics will most definitely send a message of confidence to its constituency.
To Breitling’s credence, intentional design with grace and simplicity has its place among luxury watches. With the Chronomat GMT and Transocean Chronograph Unitime watches, expect the unexpected and allow your taste in fine timepieces to be broadened.
