To start, we needed to choose the watch. The rose gold Daytona reference 116528 was a no-brainer. It’s the reference that would allow us to create a Rainbow Rolex indistinguishable from one made by Rolex themselves. 

The watch itself is made from Rolex’s Everose 18K rose gold. It has a 40mm case with the classic Daytona tachymeter bezel, an Oyster bracelet, and a champagne dial with black subdials. 

As for the movement, the Rolex Daytona 116528 is powered by Rolex’s extremely reliable 4130 calibre. 

All in all, it was the perfect watch to create a custom Rainbow Rolex.

We removed the Rolex 116528’s original bezel and dial, and customized a different dial and bezel. This way the original pieces can be put back on at anytime, which is good for resale value. Additionally, the rainbow bezel and dial have their own intrinsic value. 

Aftermarket Rainbow Rolex

Here are the details of the custom aftermarket Rainbow Rolex Daytona we created. 

Rolex 116528 Diamond Lugs & Crown Guards

We added round brilliant diamonds to the lugs and crown guards of the case. Just like a Rolex factory set Rainbow Rolex Daytona has. 

We chose diamonds that fit flawlessly within the lugs and crown guards as it is essential for producing that flush look. Every single detail counts.

The white diamonds on the rose gold case looks outstanding, and is the perfect start for the bejeweled timepiece. 

Aftermarket Rainbow Sapphire Bezel

The bezel we made consists of 36 baguette-cut sapphires. The sapphires are set in a range of graduated colors that ultimately form a “Rainbow”.

There are orange, yellow, green, blue, purple and pink sapphires. The intensity and shade of each sapphire is carefully chosen to create a seamless rainbow. It’s done in such an impeccable manner that it would be hard to distinguish our aftermarket bezel from Rolex’s factory-set rainbow bezel.

Moreover, not only do the colors transition perfectly, from one sapphire to the next, they also are of the highest grade. 

When it comes to sapphires, clarity is essential. And these are all Rolex-standard sapphires.

Custom Rolex Rainbow Diamonds & Sapphire Dial

The dial is equally as magnificent and enchanting. 

Our client chose to do the full diamond covered dial. So, we took a Rolex Daytona dial and set it with pave diamonds. Every nook and cranny features small round brilliant diamonds. 

In the end, we are left with an exemplary extravagant diamond dial, ready for its sapphire indices.

Rainbow Hour Markers

The indices take form in their original shape. But instead of being solid precious metal or filled with lume, we set perfectly sized sapphires at the center. 

The sapphires were chosen just as deliberately as the bezel, forming a rainbow around the perimeter that matches the bezel with immaculate precision. 

Again, every element and component of the watch undergoes stringent and rigorous detailing. We can only accept perfection.

Putting it all together – Our Custom Rainbow Rolex End Result

Once all the pieces were customized and finished, we safely removed the original dial and bezel and replaced it with the Rainbow Bezel and Dial. 

We are left with a Rainbow Rolex Daytona Everose Aftermarket watch that is candidly identical to a factory made Rolex Rainbow Daytona.

We are now ready to present the custom Rainbow Rolex to our client.
