Zenith was founded in 1865. Its popularity grew in the 1900's the company became a leader in its production of movements, especially the El Primoro, which was introduced in 1969. Until 1996 Rolex used Zenith's El Primero movement in its Daytona watch. Special limited edition pieces such as the Tourbillion Chronograph remain popular among collectors.
